HRTF data (Auditorium and Combined Editions only)
The Subject21 HRTF which installs with Odeon should be a safe choice of HRTF for most persons. Subject21 is based on the ’standard’ Kemar head with blocked ear canal and normal sized pinae. Odeon Auditorium and Combined editions installs with HRTFs in 10 degree resolution. If you are not satisfied with the supplied HRTF’s, a larger collection of extra HRTF, measured on human subjects, are available for download. The extra HRTF data are in 5 degrees resolution, available in the following 31 Mb zip-folder. The folder includes a text file with instructions on how to use the HRTFs.Extra HRTF data for Auditorium and Combined Editions.zip Subject165 HRTF is based on the ’standard’ Kemar head with blocked ear canal and large pinae and may be a good choise for persons with large pinae. Other HRTF’s are based on different human subjects. Copy the files from the zip-file above to your HRTF folder e.g. ‘C:\Odeon10Combined\HeadAndPhones\ee\’ When importing HRTF (Tools|Create filtered HRTF) select: Apply localization enhancement: ON M-factor 2 to 3 Minimize coloration effects (diffuse field approach) : ON If you wish to use a particular HRTF for future projects, it should be selected in the ‘Options|Program setup’ /Default HRTF/HRTF.
