Brahms in Liederhalle, Stuttgart, Germany
Here you can listen to Brahms’ Symphony no 4, 3rd movement played virtually in the Liederhalle, in Stuttgart, Germany. The multi source auralization is based on anechoic recordings from the Technical University of Denmark. The instruments are recorded individually in an anechoic chamber.
The auralization was made for the conductor position and 4 audience positions (blue dots) as shown in the figure below. Additionally, for the conductor position, auralizations were made for the string and wind sections, separately.

Below you may download an ODEON Zip Archive of this example, which is a packaged ODEON model (for ODEON Auditorium or Combined, 15.15 or newer) containing all the necessary files to run it: room geometry, assigned materials, source and receiver placements, anechoic recordings, etc. The extracted anechoic recordings can then be used for auralisations on any other room model.
To unzip an ODEON Zip Archive:
- Launch ODEON
- Go to File > Zip > Unzip archive
- Select your downloaded ODEON Zip Archive
- Select a folder to extract the files
ODEON will then automatically load the room.
This Zip Archive also contains an AudioFX batch file (.afx) to generate extra audio files from the downloaded ones. If using ODEON 16.08 or newer, this batch file will be run automatically. Otherwise, it must be run manually by going to the Tools menu > Audio FX > Open batch file.
