Soundscape App examples

The Soundscape App is a web application designed to present and compare auralisations outside of ODEON. This makes it a useful communication tool for clients or people with little background in acoustics. All you need is a web browser and the files generated by ODEON, from the export function in the Job List. In the Soundscape App, you can switch between signals, sources, receiver positions or material configurations.

ODEON automatically generates all the required files for the Soundscape App and places them in a folder. This includes the convolutions and mixes for each material configuration of the material list archive and screenshots of the 3D Render for all receiver positions.

To use the App and learn how to create your own exports from ODEON, please refer to Section 7.5 in the manual.

In order to have an optimal performance when listening to the audios, please use headphones (better than e.g. stereo or surround sound system). You can read more about auralisations, openGL and measurements vs. simulations at this page.

Please note: The convolutions take more time to load on the browser than the mixes, simply because they include more files. Please be patient until the files are loaded.
