Make sure that you use the rubber rings between the source and the tripod, this will help reducing vibrations.
Due to its light weight, a certain level of vibration is expected at some frequencies and high levels caused by mechanical resonance of the device. This cannot be eliminated entirely, but if you use sweeps to measure the room impulse response, it is not problematic. When you convolve the recorded signal with the inverse sweep, distortion components will be found before the onset time, so they are easily discarded. This is one of the reasons why we recommend using sweeps with Odeon Omni.
